Stay connected, healthy, and safe with the Apple Watch Series 5. You interface with all of the Series 5’s features and the watchOS through its 44mm curved watch face with an LTPO OLED always-on Retina display. With an always-on screen in low-brightness, you can quickly glace at the watch face for the time, workout stats, and more. If you lift your wrist, the screen will automatically come back to full brightness. The case also features a digital crown with haptic feedback, and a heart rate monitor that’s capable of recording your own ECG.

The heart rate monitor is joined by fall detection and SOS emergency functions to help keep you safe while you’re out for a run or at home doing chores. These features can detect elevated heart rates, which can clue you into possible health issues, as well as detecting if you’ve taken a hard fall. If you do, the Apple Watch gives you the opportunity to contact emergency services and emergency contacts for help.

Staying healthy is at the core of the Apple Watch Series 5. The Activity Rings feature provides you with three rings that correspond to movement, exercise, and standing. They motivate you to keep mobile throughout the day and close your rings to achieve personal goals. The Apple Watch also tracks your workouts. It can automatically detect that you’ve started to exercise, prompting you to activate the Workout app for stat tracking, measuring calories burned, and much more.

The Apple Watch Series 5 keeps you in touch with the world around you. Utilizing both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technologies, the Apple Watch becomes an extension of your iPhone. View and respond to text messages, get notifications, navigate via GPS, interact with Siri, make and take hands-free calls, and more. Even with an always-on display, the Series 5 smartwatch is made to deliver up to 18 hours of battery life, and is water-resistant up to 164′, so you can wear it all day in any kind of weather.

Cellular Carrier Support
Connecting the Apple Watch Series 5 to a cellular network requires that it share the same carrier as your iPhone. Please note that some carriers may support the iPhone, but not the Apple Watch. Please confirm with your carrier that it supports Apple Watch on their network. Currently, the Series 5 is supported by AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Also note that cellular connectivity of the Apple Watch is setup independently of your iPhone. Protect Your Ears with Noise App
With Apple’s Noise app on the Series 5 smartwatch, you will be notified when ambient sounds rise to levels that can negatively impact your hearing. Measured in decibels, you’ll get a short description of how bad the noise can be, so you can close a window, lower the volume, or leave an area for quieter surroundings.

Menstrual Cycle App
With the Cycle Tracking app, the Apple Watch Series 5 gives women the ability to track their cycle and log important information, such as irregularities and symptoms to keep tabs on their overall health and have more informed conversations with their doctor.

Built-In Compass
The Series 5 features a built-in compass that can be used with its own app, as part of the Maps app, and other 3rd party apps that integrate the functionality. Knowing exactly which direction you’re facing is an incredibly useful feature to have whether you’re on the hiking trail or navigating local streets downtown.

Generate an ECG Anytime, Anywhere
The built-in titanium electrode in the digital crown and the sapphire crystal electronic heart sensor on the back of the Apple Watch gives you the ability to record your own ECG, or electrocardiogram. It’s similar to a single-lead electrocardiogram and takes only 30 seconds to create. Just touch the digital crown and the Apple Watch generates your ECG waveform in approximately 30 seconds.

The ECG app is meant to help you detect whether you’re heart’s beating at a normal sinus rhythm, or if your rhythm shows signs of irregularity, or atrial fibrillation. Your ECGs are stored in the Health app on your iPhone and you can share them with your doctor.

Heart Rate Sensor
The optical heart sensor on the back of the Apple Watch is designed to measure and record your heart rate. Irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias), high heart rates, and low heart rates, can all be indicators of a possible underlying problem. The Apple Watch is engineered to monitor this reading and alert you to any irregularities.

Fall Detection
The Apple Watch Series 5 features an updated accelerometer and gyroscope that can detect whether you’ve fallen. If a fall occurs, the Apple Watch delivers an on-screen prompt where you can swipe to have it call emergency services or dismiss it. After 60 seconds of unresponsiveness, the Apple Watch will place the call automatically and send a message to your emergency contacts.

Emergency SOS
Emergency SOS allows you to quickly get help. It calls 911, notifies your emergency contacts, sends your current location, and displays your Medical ID badge on the screen for emergency personnel.

Complications
You can customize your watch face with multiple complications, which are little icons that are designed to activate apps or provide information. The Series 5 infograph watch face can display up to eight complications, including complications with curved progress bars and gauges.

Activity Rings

Stand: Sitting too much has the potential to contribute to health problems over time. This ring is designed to keep track of the amount of times you stand throughout the day.
