Design and Display
The latest smartphone from Samsung offers a similar design as we have seen in the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G. The back panel comes with a glossy finish with the camera module infused into the panel that provides a seamless look. The front panel comes with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout that houses the selfie camera. The Samsung Galaxy M53 8GB RAM model is available in Deep Ocean Blue and Mystique Green colours. The phone flaunts a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display that comes with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The screen also supports a 120Hz screen refresh rate, which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Performance and UI
The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G 8GB RAM model is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor. The chipset comes with two cores of Cortex A78 clocked at 2.4GHz and six cores of Cortex A55 clocked at 2GHz. For graphics, the Galaxy M53 8GB RAM option offers Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. The device also comes with a slew of interesting features. To start with, the handset packs RAM Plus feature that provides up to 8GB of virtual RAM. It also comes with a Vapour Cooling system to manage heat dissipation. The phone also comes with a new Auto Switch feature that automatically switches the data from primary to secondary SIM. There is also a new Voice Focus feature that amplifies the voice during a call. The Samsung Galaxy M53 8GB RAM comes with 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card slot. The phone runs on latest Android 12 operating system with OneUI on top of it.
Camera and Security
The latest smartphone from Samsung comes with a quad-camera setup. The phone is loaded with a 108MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, 2 MP macro shooter, and 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the company has added a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calling. The phone is able to record 4K videos at 30 frames per second (fps), while from the front, it can record Full HD videos. For security, the phone is loaded with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Battery and Connectivity
The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery and comes with 25W fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy M53 5G supports 5G SA / NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS with GLONASS, dual-SIM, and USB Type-C port.
