An enterprise-class hard drive engineered and optimized for high workload, 24×7 operation in both traditional and server applications. Based on conventional magnetic recording (CMR) technology, this 3.5-inch drive features 8TB capacity, 7200RPM spinning speed, SATA 6 Gbps host interface and 256 MB Cache, and delivers sustained transfer rate of up to Up to 255 MB/s (for reference only). It also incorporates an array of advanced technologies to guarantee ultra-robust data integrity, stability and reliability you can rely on in various challenging conditions.

Dual-stage Actuator Technology
Ultrastar drives feature a dual-stage actuator head positioning system for a high degree of accuracy. The primary stage provides course displacement while the secondary stage uses piezoelectric motion to fine tune the head positioning to a higher degree of precision.
Dynamic fly height technology
Each read-write head’s fly height is adjusted in real time to ensure consistent performance for reduced errors and optimized reliability.
