DJI Osmo Pocket Part 1 Extension Rod

The Osmo Pocket Extension Rod from DJI is like an advanced selfie-stick with a joystick and control buttons for the Osmo Pocket gimbal. It also features a smartphone holder for monitoring. The Extension Rod telescopes to up to 30″ in length, enabling you to shoot from different angles.

The Osmo Pocket connects to the Extension Rod without any cables. The mounting clip on the end of the Extension Rod features contacts that connect to the contacts on the gimbal, after which the buttons on the Extension Rod can be used to control the gimbal.

To use your smartphone as a monitor at the same time, an optional compatible USB cable is required to connect the phone to the Extension Rod. Then you can monitor the image via the DJI Mimo app. Alternatively, the optional Osmo Pocket Wireless Module can be used instead. The Wireless Module attaches to the bottom of the gimbal and establishes a connection with the phone over Wi-Fi.

The Extension Rod is compact, yet the handle is thick enough to provide a comfortable and secure feel in your hand. It’s powered by a built-in LiPo battery that’s charged by the Osmo Pocket automatically when connected. It also has a 1/4″-20 mounting thread on the bottom for attaching it to tripods and other supports along with the gimbal.
