MSI immerse Series gaming headsets are designed to deliver the most immersive experience for gamers. Hear your opponents before you see them thanks to crystal clear positional audio or simply close your eyes and let your favorite music give you chills as you hear it in more detail than ever before. The MSI Immerse GH30 is one of the newest additions to the crowded $50 gaming headset market. Much like most other models that fall into the same price bracket, it’s a simple no-frills analogue headset equipped with a pair of 40-mm dynamic speaker drivers and an in-line remote control with a volume wheel and a microphone mute switch. The twist, if I can call it that, is that the headset is foldable, and its microphone is detachable—two features we don’t normally expect in this price range. Add to that the bundled carrying pouch and it’s quite obvious MSI sees the Immerse GH30 as a headset you might want to take outside of your gaming chambers and use on the go. We saw similar conceptual attempts in the past with headsets such as the Roccat Cross . There, it worked nicely, so let’s figure out if that’s the case with the MSI Immerse GH30 too.
