To the delight of Apple Fans all over the world, Apple has just announced that they will be conducting a virtual event on September 15th at 10 AM Pacific Time (8PM Qatar Time). The event is titled as ‘Time Flies’ and the Fans are speculating that the iPhone 12 will be made official in this much awaited event. Is that the truth? Let’s find out what this event is all about.

Will the iPhone 12 launch on September 15th?

Since 2012, Apple has been holding its annual iPhone launch events in September and tends to stage those events on the second Tuesday or Wednesday of the month. This year, however, Apple CFO Luca Maestri confirmed during the company’s Q3 2020 earnings call that the new iPhones would be available “a few weeks” after the usual late-September launch window, presumably due to production and supply chain disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. So it is highly unlikely that the iPhone 12 will launch on September 15th. Sorry to disappoint you guys! 

Then, Why are they conducting an event on September 15th?

Apple is usually tight-lipped regarding the agenda of their event. But sources close to Apple has revealed that the event will be to announce the new Apple Watch Series 6 and the new iPad Air. New models from the iPad Air and Apple Watch Series 6 were spotted certified on the EEC recently, usually a sign of an imminent launch. Hence we expect Apple to announce just these devices on this event.

So, When will the iPhone 12 launch?

Nothing is official yet, but strong rumors have suggested that the iPhone 12 series won’t actually be unveiled until some time in October. There were many leaks and rumours regarding the iPhone 12 and the fans will have to, in all probability, wait a few more weeks to see what surprises Apple has in store for them in their latest iPhone!
